Pupil Premium Grant Expenditure

Objectives

Narrowing the gap for those pupils not on track to achieve Age Related Expectations at end of Key Stages.

Barriers to learning include poor oral language skills and emotional independence. Although behaviour is excellent, we aim to further develop pupilsโ€™ communication skills and increase their confidence to becomeย independent and proactive learners. We have a rigorous approach to raising standards using Inspire Maths, Talk for Writing, Super Sentences, Philosophy for Children, Read, Write Inc. and Inference Reading. A creative, skills-based curriculum is further enriched through our curriculum drivers and SMSC. Interventions are carefully planned and flexible. We have strong pastoral team and community links are very strong.

The headteacher reports regularly to the LMBโ€™s Raising Achievement Committee:

  • Progress made towards narrowing the gap by year group for socially disadvantaged pupils
  • The provision that was made during the term since the last meeting

The cost effectiveness, in terms of the progress made by the pupils receiving a particular provision, when compared with other forms of support.
