Our day is punctuated with prayer. We pray throughout the day and use common prayers across all key stages:

Nursery

Thanks for this new day, God,
a fun day, a play day, busy things to do day.
Help me all the way, God.
Be with me today, Amen.

Thank you God for everyone.
For friends and family.
Help me God to care for them,
the way you care for me. Amen

Reception and Key Stage 1

Morning Prayer

Oh my God, I give to you,
All that I think, or say, or do
All my work and all my happy play,
I will give to you today, Amen.

Prayer before lunch

Lord bless us,
Bless our food,
Bless those who make it for us,
And give food to the hungry children, Amen.

Afternoon Prayer

God our Father, I come to say,
Thank you for your love today.
Thank you for my family,
And all the love you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night
And in the morning, send your light, Amen.

Key Stage 2

Morning Prayer

Father in Heaven you love me, you are with me night and day,
I want to please you always, in all I do and say,
I’ll try to please you Father.
Bless me through the day, Amen.

Prayer before lunch

Bless us Oh Lord as we sit together,
Bless the food we eat today,
Bless the hands that made the food.
Bless us Oh Lord, Amen.

Our School Prayer

In addition to this, we have traditional prayers that we use as part of our daily prayer and liturgy including the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be. As well as this we have a school prayer that we say whenever we gather as a school community:

Lord, bless Corpus Christi School
And all the people who learn here.
Help us all to remember
That when we work together,
Pray together and play together,
We show you how we love you.
Let our words and actions show
That we love one another as you have loved us.
