Welcome to the Corpus Christi Primary School SEND page. We have a commitment to high achievement and we strive to provide all our children with a quality education regardless of their gender, disability, ethnicity, ability or social background. Some children may have additional educational needs and it is our job to identify these and provide the appropriate support needed to ensure they achieve their full potential. Mr Henney and Miss O’Connor have both achieved the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) which is a statutory requirement for all SENCOs. The SEND Team at Corpus Christi Primary School consists of the following members of staff:

If you have any concerns about your child, please discuss these immediately with your child’s class teacher who will then inform the SENCO. The SEND Process that we will follow within school can be viewed below. At Corpus Christi, we value the partnership we have with parents and families of children within school. The continuous work we complete together helped us achieve the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA).
Throughout the year, we regularly run SEND coffee mornings, to allow families to come into school and discuss their child and the support they receive in an informal manner. These are fantastic opportunities to meet us and find out a little more information about the support available by speaking to us and other parents and families.

Middlesbrough and Stockton MIND | At our core we’re a team of professionals with lots of different experiences of wellbeing working to support those who are finding life challenging. We know that everyone is different and their experiences of poor mental health are unique, so we’re mindful of listening and understanding your personal story before we start to help you get back on track. South Tees Needs Led Neurodevelopmental Pathway | Across South Tees, we have a ‘needs led’ neurodevelopmental pathway as we want to make sure you and your child are supported as much as possible, if you or a professional thinks that your child has a neurodevelopmental need. These are needs which are associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

SENDIASS
The South Tees SENDIAS Service is provided by Barnardo’s Disability and Inclusion Support Service on behalf of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and Middlesbrough Borough Council. Children, young people and their families where a child or young person has or may have special educational needs or a disability, are able to access the service for free, impartial and confidential information and advice.
